Certification Story Time

So this is kinda fun.

I started using AI (yes, the shame as an artist) to write a book that tells an actual story while teaching the CompTIA objectives for several exams under the hood. I can guarantee there is nothing out there like it since it bridges a gap between technical know-how and good storytelling. I doubt there are very many people who can cross both domains and LLM's make it easier to do so.

That being said, the technical details and decisions sometimes need a few changes. Left to themselves, the LLM's will occasionally mix up causes with effects, and who said what in the past. After spending a few hours trying to prompt it into fixing a few stubborn problems, I just decided that I'd need to do some hand editing. It's faster...

So far, I've found that Opus 5+ is generally better at catching technical errors, while Gemini Argon is better at catching plot and continuity problems
. The story is planned to cover CompTIA: Server+, Security+, Linux+, Project+, and Network+.

If you are curious you can start reading the story here:

Technical details!? maybe like a .5% chance of ever being published 😓
I should probably post about something more technical next time. 😆
